  Only works from home screen :(
  Would be nice if it works everywhere, for example when in music app - just holding down menu would bring up search on stock samsung UI.

  Works well since 1.1.1, it just lacks haptic feedback (vibrate upon long press).

  This is standard functionality in the TouchWiz ICS that runs on millions of Samsung Galaxy (SII) phones, which don't have a dedicated search key.
