  Agreed, not having "Apex Actions" available in the "Select custom application" chooser menu is a simple thing means that I can't use my preferred UI layout (dock hidden, with long-press home button opening the app drawer). I prefer the Apex look and feel and would swap over (and go pro) in a flash if Apex Actions were made available in that system menu.

  This and the Folders in Drawer option are the ONLY things keeping me from ditching Nova and buying Apex.
